Vladimir Zbankov

Director, Legal Programs

Vladimir Zhbankov, born in 1985 in Moscow, graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy in 2006 and earned his Ph.D. in 2009, specializing in International and European Law. Until 2015, he worked as an Associate Professor at the same academy.

In early 2015, due to the risk of political persecution, he moved to Kyiv. In 2016, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine recognized him as a poet and a cultural figure of national interest.

He worked as a scientific consultant for Laurus Publishing House in Kyiv.

Since 2018, he has been a lawyer at the Free Russia Foundation and is currently the Director of the Foundation's Legal Aid Programs. He also coordinates the "Poshuk.Polon" Project.
