Free Russia Foundation 2025 operations update

Free Russia Foundation, an international organization coordinating all global forces in support of a free, democratic, peaceful and prosperous Russia continues its operations in all locations.

In the coming weeks and months, we expect to adjust our programming in response to a renewed focus of the transatlantic community to end the senseless criminal war in Ukraine. In this effort, Russian civil society is the most impactful and irreplaceable ally.

Since our founding 10 years ago, Free Russia Foundation has countered the Kremlin’s weaponization of energy exports to Europe, cooptation of Western elites, disinformation campaigns and other criminal activities globally.

This year, we plan to shut off the Kremlin’s access to resources for war by injecting European sanctions enforcement with data, methodology, strategic coordination and focus to achieve a decisive massed effect and deprive Putin of resources he needs for war.

We will work to equip key financial sector stakeholders with next-generation proactive protocols for improving sanctions compliance; shut down European evasion routes for critical technology enabling Russian military aggression; and axe the Russian shadow fleet by sanctioning its largest and most active tankers.

We will continue to support antiwar and pro-democracy Russians everywhere. We invite collaboration and support of people and organizations who support our mission.
