Anton Naumluck

Anton Naumliuk is a journalist and historian.

He graduated from the Faculty of History of Saratov State University. Mr. Naumliuk has been a HE lecturer since 2006. In 2009, he defended a dissertation on the history of state religious policy in Russia.

In 2012, Mr. Naumliuk left academia to pursue a career in journalism. Since 2015, he has worked as a war correspondent for Radio Liberty in the Donbas region, and later as a court correspondent at the trials of Ukrainian prisoners in Russia. Since 2016, Mr. Naumliuk has covered human rights violations and persecution of Crimean Tatars in the Russian-occupied Crimea. In 2019, he established the editorial office of forensic journalism outlet “Grati” («Ґрати») in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Throughout his career, Mr. Naumliuk has worked in Chechnya, Uzbekistan, Palestine, and other restive regions. In 2015, he received the Pyotr Vail Prize, awarded by Radio Liberty, and in 2017, he was nominated for the Free Media Awards.

Since 2022, Mr. Naumliuk has been living in Warsaw, Poland. In the spring of 2024, he opened a Reforum Space in the Polish capital, and has been in charge of its operations ever since.
